PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism which has an excellent hexavalent chromium-reducing ability and is suitable for the bioremediation of environments containing the hexavalent chromium, to provide a method for reducing the hexavalent chromium, and to provide a method for cleaning an environment.;SOLUTION: This microorganism belongs to Actinomycetales, has a 16S rDNA containing a ≥96% homogeneous base sequence to the base sequence of a specific sequence, and has an ability for reducing hexavalent chromium.
