PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass for lighting which does not contain lead, cadmium, selenium, chromium, arsenic and the like as detrimental components and obtain the transparent light of a prescribed color and chromaticity (from orange color to red color), and to provide a colored glass bulb using the glass and a method for manufacturing these glass and glass bulbs.;SOLUTION: The glass for lighting is characterized by SiO₂-Al₂O₃-R¹O-R²₂O glass (R¹ is Ca, Sr, Mg or Ba. R² is Na K, or Li.) containing 0.3-1.0 wt.% of Sb as Sb₂O₃ and 0.5-1.0 wt.% of S as SO₃, and a precipitating colloid composed of SbS₂ or Sb₂S₃ in the glass.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
