PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission control signal receiver reducing standby power for receiving a transmission control signal.;SOLUTION: The transmission control signal receiver has: a transmission control signal receiving circuit 24 which receives a transmission control signal carrier of ground digital television broadcasting, demodulates the transmission control signal from the transmission control signal carrier and detects a synchronizing signal included in the transmission control signal; a power supply circuit 30 which supplies power; a switch circuit 36 which supplies the power from the power supply circuit to the transmission control signal receiving circuit; a synchronization holding circuit 51 to which the power is always supplied from the power supply circuit and holds synchronization based on the synchronization signal detected by the transmission control signal receiving means; and a control circuit 50 to which the power is always supplied from the power supply circuit, performs on/off control of the switch circuit based on presence/absence of detection of the synchronizing signal by the transmission control signal receiving means and intermittently supplies the power to the transmission control signal receiving circuit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
