PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrolytic removing soln. capable of rapidly and efficiently removing a tin or tin alloy coating film formed on an electrically conductive substrate by electrolysis and not causing problem on the settleability of a heavy metal in the treatment of waste water by incorporating a sulfocarboxylic acid and/or its salt. ;SOLUTION: A sulfocarboxylic acid such as sulfosuccinic acid and its salt such as Na salt are dissolved in water to obtain the objective electrolytic removing soln. It is preferable that a high molecular compd. obtd. by polymerizing an aliphatic amine or a nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic compd. and an epihalohydrin is further incorporated into the removing soln. so as to uniformly dissolve tin oxide and to more efficiently prevent the formation of sludge. When electrolysis is carried out in the removing soln. using an electrically conductive substrate with a tin or tin alloy coating film as the anode and an insoluble conductor such as iron as the cathode, the coating film is efficiently removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
