PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag removing device for a metal furnace, which is capable of easily removing slag on a wall surface part and whose scratching plate will not be broken even when the scratching plate is collided against the wall surface.;SOLUTION: In the device for removing slag, floating on a molten metal surface F in the metal furnace S or adhered to the wall surface W of the same, by turning, inclining and elongating an arm unit 7 provided with the scratching plate 8 at the tip end of the same, the turning of the arm unit 7 is effected by transmitting the torque of a turning motor 4 to the arm unit 7 through a chain 9 while a turning buffering spring 1 is elastically connected to the chain 9 to absorb a shock through the turning buffering spring 1 when the scratching plate 8 provided at the tip end of the arm unit 7 is collided against the wall surface W.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
