2,6-dichloro-isonicotinic acid phenethylamide derivatives and plant disease control agent

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain 2,6-dichloroisonicotinic phenetylamide derivative having excellent effect on controlling various plant disease injuries due to plant pathogenic virus, bacteria and mould, free from any concern about chemical injury to plants, thus useful as a plant disease injury controlling agent. ;SOLUTION: This new compound is expressed by formula I [R¹, R² and R³ are each H or a lower alkyl; R⁴ is H, a (halogen-substituted) lower alkyl; (halogen-substituted) lower alkoxy, (lower alkyl-substituted) amino, nitro, cyano or halogen; R¹ and R⁴, and R² and R³ may each be combined into a ring; excepting that R² is methyl, and R¹, R³ and R⁴ are each H], e.g. 2,6-dichloroisonicotinic phenetylamide. The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction of 2.6- dichloroisonicotinic acid chloride of formula II with a compound of formula III in a solvent in the presence of a base.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
