PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject new compound derivative, comprising a specific silatrane derivative efficiently prepared by reacting an epoxy group-containing trialkoxysilane compound with ammonia and useful as a silane coupling agent, a bonding accelerator or the like. ;SOLUTION: This new silatrane derivative is represented by formula I {R1 is H or a 1-10C alkyl; R2 is an alkoxysilyl group-containing organic group represented by formula II [R4 is a bivalent organic group; R5 is a 1-10C alkyl; R6 is a (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon; (x) is 1, 2 or 3]; R3 is a (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon, a 1-10C alkoxy, a glycidoxyalkyl, an oxiranylalkyl, an acyloxyalkyl or an aminoalkyl} and is useful as a silane coupling agent, a bonding accelerator or the like.
