PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful as an adhesion promoter of a hardenable silicone composition manifesting a specific adhesion to an organic resin. ;SOLUTION: This compound is the one of formula I [R¹ is H or an alkyl; R² is H, an alkyl or an alkenyloxyalkyl of the formula -R⁴-O-R⁵ (R⁴ is an alkylene; R⁵ is an alkenyl), with the proviso that at least one of the R² is the alkenyloxyalkyl; R³ is a (non)substituted monovalent hydrocarbon, a 1-10C alkoxy, a glycidoxyalkyl, an oxiranylalkyl, an aminoalkyl or the like], e.g. a compound of formula II.
