PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting, identifying, counting, and confirming a circulation cancer cell and/or a hematological precursor cell in whole blood. ;SOLUTION: A method includes a process (a) that prepares a transparent tube 2 with a hole for generally a cylindrical insert 4, combines the tube 2 with the insert 4, and forms a band being sufficiently demarcated in the tube, a process (b) that blends at least one kind of epitope-specifical label agent to a blood sample, a process (c) that blends tinction to the blood sample, a process (d) that loads the blood sample into the tube, the blood sample in the tube is subjected to centrifugation, lowers any abnormal nucleated cell existing in the blood sample in the sufficiently demarcated band according to density, a process (e) that counts any identified cell existing in the sufficiently demarcated band in the tube in site, and a process (f) that inspects the cell form of any identified cell existing in the sufficiently demarcated band in the tube in site.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
