PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface wall structure which is located at the edge of a structure constructed by arranging a plurality of elements side by side in a direction almost orthogonal to a lengthwise direction, to provide an earth retaining structure for banking, and to provide a method of constructing the earth retaining structure for the banking.;SOLUTION: The earth retaining structure for the banking 3 is constructed by arranging the plurality of elements 2, 2' side by side in the ground (banking 3) in the direction almost orthogonal to the lengthwise direction. Then the surface wall 1 having a width almost twice the element 2 is arranged astride edges of the three elements 2, 2 and 2 adjacent to one another, and fixed only to the center-located element 2 out of the three elements 2, 2 and 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
