The computer component has a unique digital code and is formed as a stick (1) with a housing (3) and a plug (5). It is provided with a press knob (7) and two small indicator lamps (9,11) and a microchip (13) is present in the housing connected with the plug. The microchip has a unique digital code coupled to a separate personal identity number supplied with the component. For secure ordering, payment or enquiry of data via the internet, the stick is inserted in a port of the computer as soon as an enquiry needs to be made. After the application of pressure on the press knob, the unique digital code is liberated and the PIN code is asked to be inwardly fed, resulting in the authorization for the transaction being given.
