The boundary between the removable layer (3) on the information region (2) of the carrier and at least part of the adjoining carrier surface outside the removable layer forms a continuous surface layer. The carrier includes at least one information region for displaying a visually readable code for prepaid credits, this region being covered by a removable opaque layer. The carrier is formed from a sheet of paper or synthetic film (1).
