METHOD FOR DETERMINING SETTLING AND HORIZONTAL SHIFTS OF EARTH SURFACE AT HARD-TO-REACH AREAS

The proposed method for determining settling and horizontal shifts of earth surface at hard-to-reach areas consists in installing several benchmarks with inspection mirrors at the surface, installing several fixed laser geodetic instruments, fixing the laser beams of the instruments relative of the mirrors of the corresponding benchmarks, and determining the displacements of the mirror points at specified time intervals.
