The invention relates to a wood-saving stove (1) which comprises a combustion chamber (2), a cooking vessel support (3) arranged on top thereof and a jacket (5) which at least partially surrounds a cooking vessel (4) and the combustion chamber (2). The aim of the invention is to further increase utilization of the firewood. For this purpose, the jacket (5), in the area of the cooking vessel support (3), is configured as a part which is divided up by a separating metal sheet (10) into an upper (6) and a lower (7) jacket section. The invention also relates to a kit which consists of metal sheet blanks, thereby reducing sales prices for the stove.
