The subject matter of the invention is a turbine which utilizes a part of the kinetic energy of a flowing body of water without substantially influencing the flow ecology and without visually impairing the existing river landscape. This is realized by a turbine arrangement with a vertical axis and horizontally under the water surface rotating two-part blades (1 '). The blade parts (1 "") are periodically opened and closed during one revolution of the turbine. The blade parts (1 "") fold together around a dam (2, Fig. 1 and 2) - which serves the water supply - to pass and they are unfolded when the blade moves in the direction of flow of the water body. This movement of the blade parts is non-positively by corresponding guide rails (8, Fig. 1 and 3), which also serve the load adjustment with different water flow. The turbine is used in places with high flow velocity - large gradient of the riverbed - or it will be provided by structural measures short descents (river steps), at the foot of this turbine is advantageously arranged.
