A vibrating clamp on a multi directional arm includes a pair of jaws articulated to a common support. A central extension, provided on the common support, connects the piston rods of short cylinders to the jaws. The short cylinders drive symmetric opening/closing action of the jaws. A proximity sensor detects whether the jaws are closing in around the trunk of a tree to be vibrated or moored.
