A procedure for receiving a first type of radio-messaging message comprising the steps of: (a) storing (300) the first samples received; (b) search (304) the first samples received for pilot channels in a search means (206) giving a set of detected pilot channels; (c) reconfiguring the search means (206) to demodulate (306) the first samples received associated with the set of pilot channels detected in the search means (206); (d) determine (308) if a second type of radio-messaging message is received based on the first samples received demodulated; and (e) activating (310) at least one demodulation means (208) when the second type of radio-messaging message is detected for at least one of the detected pilot channels; and (f) demodulate (312) the additionally received samples associated with at least one of the pilot channels detected in the at least one of the demodulation means (208) to determine whether the first type of radio-messaging message is received.
