Personal wash compositions containing an anionic surfactant as a cleaningagent and a cationic dendrimer as a mildness aid. Thedendrimer lowers the irritation potential of the surfactant. Cationicdendrimers remain dispersed in anionic surfactant solutions. Thedendrimers are significantly less viscous than linear cationic polymericmildness aids and are monodispersed. Futhermore, the dendrimersperform better than linear cationic polymers, especially in the presence ofharsh anionic surfactants such as sodium dodecyl sulfate.
