The invention concerns a DNA construct, such as a shuttle vector, useful in methods of detection and/or quantitative or qualitative assessment of a mutation phenomenon, such as for example those occurring during a somatic hypermutation, of a cell or of a group of cells. Said shuttle vector is also useful in a method for diagnosis and/or prognosis of the evolution of a disease involving a mutation phenomenon, a method for detecting the capacity of an agent to generate mutations, a method of screening molecules capable of modulating a mutation phenomenon or of modulating the mutagenic effects of an agent on a cell.
