METHOD FOR HORIZONTALLY ORIENTING A MEASURING INSTRUMENT, AND MEASURING INSTRUMENT COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR THE HORIZONTAL ORIENTATION THEREOF
The invention relates to a method for horizontally orienting an especially geodesic measuring instrument (1) with which a tripod (5) is associated. According to the invention, at least one inclination value (α1, α2) is acquired by means of at least one inclination sensor (13), and transmitted to a data processing device (15). Said inclination value (α) is processed by the data processing device (15) by the determination of adjustment instructions (7a, 7b, 7c) that are associated with the individual adjustment elements (6a, 6b, 6c) and lead to the horizontally oriented state of the measuring instrument (1). The adjustment instructions (7a, 7b, 7c) are optically reproduced by an optical display device (2) on the upper part (12), on adjustment elements (6a', 6b', 6c') which are symbolised in the display data (2') of the display device (2), the position of said elements corresponding essentially to the position of the adjustment elements (6a, 6b, 6c) in relation to the display device (2). The invention thus relates to a method for horizontally orienting an especially geodesical measuring instrument (1), and to one such measuring instrument (1) which facilitates the horizontal orientation thereof for a user, especially an inexperienced user.
