The connection unit has two lateral flanges (32) that are connected by a transversal rod (34), and front and rear transversal plates that connect front and rear ends of the flanges. The flanges, plates and a lower wall delimit a hollow housing (36) that is opened at its top. Two conduits communicate with the bottom of the housing in order to evacuate liquid present in an upper surface of the lower wall. An independent claim is also included for a windshield wiper of a motor vehicle including a windshield wiper blade.
