The invention relates to the use of functional antibodies or particles thereof, in addition to active substances for producing medicaments, which assist in the treatment of dilatative cardiomyopathy (DCM). The medicaments are used, in particular, for influencing the Fc-receptors, which can be detected, initially, on cardiac muscle cells. Said findings and the produced medicaments are used for treating one of a most frequent cardiac diseases.
