IC tags (51-525) are installed such that they correspond to load reception racks (11-125) placed in a warehouse, and a transportation route determination device (100) to which a wide range reader (210) for detecting the IC tags (51-525) is connected is placed on a forklift truck (7) for carrying a load. In the middle of travel of the forklift truck (7) toward a destination rack, the transportation route determination device (100) determines places to pass through according to tag identification codes of IC tags detected by the wide region reader (210) and determines a transportation route based on predetermined conditions formed by logically combining the tag identification codes. The transportation route for the forklift truck (7) can be determined at high accuracy even if exceptional communications occur by influence of a reflective substance etc. to make detection of some of the IC tags impossible.
