There are provided a reflection type screen capable of suppressing affect of external light and obtaining a wide angle of view with a simple configuration and a forward projection system having the reflection type screen. The reflection type screen (100) includes a transparent prism (5) arranged in parallel to the longitudinal direction of a base (1) between the base (1) as a light absorbing member and a front sheet (2) as a transparent protection layer. The transparent prism (5) has a transparent plane (3) and a diffusion reflection plane (4) formed with a predetermined angle. The diffusion reflection plane (4) is formed by arranging a reflection film on one of the surfaces of the transparent prism (5). Projected light is diffused/reflected by the diffusion reflection plane (4) and external light passes through the transparent plane (3) and is absorbed by the base (1).
