Employs six phases, through which peers can establish multi-party, multi-stream, multimedia communications. These are: Protocol Discovery, Pre-Negotiation, Multi-Stream QoS Synchronization and QoS Correlation, Fast-Negotiation, Re-Negotiation, and Resource Reservation Release. All six phases can be concatenated, or be executed at different times. Uses a E2ENP Broker, an optional third-party entity, which performs Pre-Negotiation phase. The broker may be implemented at e.g. audio-/videoconference bridges. An independent claim is included for a peer and a computer program.
