The invention relates to a tool (10) for drilling in earthy and/or rocky ground, comprising a rotatable drilling member (11) that is disposed on drilling rods at one end of said tool, a drill bit (12) which is located at the other end of the drilling member (11) and is pivotable eccentrically to the axis of rotation (16) of the drilling member (11), and stops (20) for limiting the pivoting movement of the drill bit (12), the drill bit (12) being in the eccentric position relative to the drilling member (11) during the drilling process, while being in a concentric position relative to the drilling member (11) when the drilling member (11) rotates counter to the direction of rotation used during the drilling process. According to the invention, the outer circumferential area of the drill bit (12) and/or the drilling member (11) covers the stops (20) and counter-stops (25) in both the concentric and the eccentric position of the drill bit (12).
