APPARATUS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SPRUELESS MOLDED PARTS IN A TRANSFER MOLDING PROCESS AND AN INJECTION-COMPRESSION MOLDING PROCESS

Disclosed is an apparatus for producing sprueless molded parts in a transfer molding process and an injection-compression molding process. Said apparatus is composed of a compression mold and at least one mold cavity (4). The compression mold represents a double-ram press with two movable force plates (1, 2). (i) Said two force plates are disposed across from each other within the cylindrical bush of the compression mold, (ii) the mold cavity is arranged on the exterior wall of the cylindrical tube of the compression mold, or the mold cavities are circularly and concentrically placed at the same level on the exterior wall of the cylindrical tube of the compression mold and (iii) are integrated into said exterior wall in such a way that the sidewall of the force plates simultaneously forms part of the wall of the mold cavity/cavities at the level of the mold cavity/cavities and seals said mold cavity/cavities. Also disclosed is a method for producing sprueless molded parts in a transfer molding process and an injection-compression molding process with the aid of the inventive apparatus.
