WAP GATEWAY AGENT WITH IMPROVED DATA TRANSFER EFFICIENCY AND DATA TRANSFER METHOD THEREOF

A WAP gateway agent having improved data transmission efficiency and a data transmission method thereof are provided to enable a CSA to respond to the request of a wireless mobile communication terminal with information, stored in a cash memory, if information corresponding to data, which the mobile terminal requests, is stored in the cash memory, and if not, transmit the request to an SSA, thereby efficiently using a limited bandwidth without transmitting information which is duplicated between the agents, or is previously known to agents. A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway agent having improved data transmission efficiency comprises the followings: a CSA(Client Side Agent)(220) which operates in a wireless mobile communication terminal(200) connected to the WAP gateway(240); and an SSA(Server Side Agent)(250) which operates in the WAP gateway(240). The CSA(220) responds to the wireless mobile communication terminal(200) request with information, stored in a cash memory(230), if information corresponding to data, which the wireless mobile communication terminal(200) requests, is stored in the cash memory(230), and if not, transmits the request to the SSA(250).
