A tap type donor film, a tape type donor film roll and a laser thermal imaging apparatus having the same are provided to minimize damage of an imaging layer in case that a donor film is rolled by having a tape type donor film with a protrusion unit. A tape type donor film includes a base substrate(71), a photo thermal transform layer(73), an imaging layer(77), and protrusions(72). The base substrate(71) has an upper plane and a lower plane. The photo thermal transform layer(73) is located on the upper plane(73). The imaging layer(77) is located on the photo thermal transform layer(73). The protrusions(72) are located on both edges of at least one plane of the upper plane and the lower plane. The protrusion which is located on at least one edge of the protrusions(72) has protrusion patterns which are apart from each other. The protrusions(72) have a groove which penetrates the protrusions(72). The base substrate(71) has a hole corresponding to the groove.
