Agent for the prevention and treatment of vaginitis containing Artemisia mongolica fishcher extract

An agent comprising an extract of Artemisia mongolica fischer is provided to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus without influencing on lactic acid bacteria, thereby being usefully used for treating and preventing vaginitis. The agent for preventing and treating vaginitis which is induced by at least one selected from the group consisting of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes and Salomella typhimurium comprises an extract of Artemisia mongolica fischer prepared by extracting Artemisia mongolica fischer with methanol, ethanol, acetone or a mixture solvent thereof.
