An apparatus and a method for spatial prediction of image data, an apparatus and a method for encoding the image data, an apparatus and a method for spatial predictive compensation of the image data, and an apparatus and a method for decoding the image data are provided to perform real-time predictive compensation of the image data which is encoded in real time. A spatial prediction part(140) spatially predicts pixel values of a current block of an image by using upper line adjacent blocks which correspond to an upper line of the current block among adjacent blocks which are spatially adjacent to the current block. The spatial prediction part performs spatial prediction by replacing pixel values of the upper line adjacent blocks with a predetermined reference value in every line unit of the image. An image value filtering part(100) filters pixel values of the upper line adjacent blocks. A prediction mode deciding part(120) decides a spatial predictive mode of a current block by using the pixel values of the upper line adjacent blocks and the pixel values filtered by the image value filtering part.
