The system incorporates a means for obtaining a more efficient sprinkling of the solid bed with the polyhasic mixture using a dispersive break-jet device of controlled porosity The distribution unit for a polyphasic system comprising gaseous and liquid phases, the mixture being in descending flow across the solid bed comprises : a plate (P) placed above the solid bed ; several mixer channels(21) of the phases, each comprising an upper section(922) and lower section(23) enabling transmission of the formed mixture with the solid bed. Over part of their height, the mixers are provided with one or more lateral passages, through the upper section passes most of the gaseous phase and the lateral section allows passage of the liquid phase and/or part of the gaseous phase to the interior of the mixer. Beneath the plate P and the lower section of the mixer (23) is a break-jet dispersal system. An Independent claim is also included for applications of the system to mixtures partly comprising hydrogen.
