Screw spindle with recirculating ball and oil feed arrangement - which runs from bore in support cage for nut via annular space around nut through bore in nut to ball track

The arrangement consists of a spindle (1) with spiral groove, a nut (2) and a return tube for the recirculating balls. The nut has flats with which it is balanced. The nut is mounted in a support cage (18) in which it is supported on ball bearings (15,16,17). The nut is e.g. used for the linear transport of a table. Oil is fed in through a first bore (40) in the support cage (18) through which it passes into an annular space (33) around the nut. The oil can flow from the annular space through a second bore (48) in the nut to the ball track.
