A linkage (3) connecting a convertible top (2) of cloth to a vehicle body (10) includes a main bow (4) and a rear bow (6). The rear bow is divided into lower and upper bow sections (6a,6b) coupled together by a swivel joint (9). When both bows are folded along the vehicle length (F) and pull the convertible top to a folded, open position, part of the convertible top, provided with the rear windshield (8) is tucked in between the upper bow section and the main body. An adjustable spring (11) connects the lower bow section to the vehicle body side.
