An endoscopic instrument (15) used in minimal invasive surgery and assembled of a hollow shaft (13) and a pistol-shaped handle (17) can be used only once for hygienic reasons. Several of those devices (15) can be temporarily stored in a cylindrical container (1) until their final disposal. The container (1) has a lid (7) on top and is fitted with a thick layer of Styrofoam(RTM) (11) at the bottom (5,9), accommodating the sharp or pointed tips of the devices (15).
