The apparatus has a security detection system (20) with silicon gel plates (22) which are secured to cantilevers of a base. The system has strain meters (21) attached to surfaces of the cantilevers. A hanging cradle is suspended to hooks of the cantilevers when a patient is carried in the cradle. The meters detect deformation, which is caused by patient`s weight, of the cantilevers and outputs detected data to a patient carrying device. The system generates alarm signals to indicate the status of the apparatus. The base is provided with a hanging security detecting system secured to the hooks.
