The system has a steering handle (2) connected with an electric motor (7) in a signal-conductive manner by a control- and/or regulation unit (10). A steering handle angle sensor (4) and a steering handle turning moment sensor (5) conduct a signal to the unit in dependence of the detection of a steering movement and/or a steering handle turning moment. The unit controls the motor with the turning-off of the vehicle and with the reception of the detected signals in such a manner that the motor generates a torque for adjusting a defined steering angle of the wheel.
