The piston (10) has a piston head (11) with a piston base exposed to a focal ray and a piston skirt (17). The head and the skirt are designed as individual components that are connected with each other, where the individual components have a circulating outside cooling channel (27). A circular partition wall (35) e.g. wall part, is arranged in the cooling channel formed by the skirt, and arranged parallel to the head, where the wall has nozzle-like openings (37) e.g. nozzle body such as venturi nozzle. The wall part is integrated in the head or in the skirt.
