Method for treating fibers comprises contacting the fibers soaked in water with oil-in-water emulsion containing 100 wt.parts of polyorganosiloxane, which exhibits amino alkyl groups with an amine number of at least 0.1 mequivalents/g of polydimethylsiloxane, obtained from a silicon oxide unit, protonation agent, water and at most 5 wt.parts of emulsifying agent. Method for treating fibers comprises contacting the fibers soaked in water with oil-in-water emulsion containing: 100 wt.parts of polyorganosiloxane, which exhibits amino alkyl groups with an amine number of at least 0.1 mequiv./g of polydimethylsiloxane, obtained from a unit of formula R1aR2bSiO(4-a-b/2); protonation agent; water; and at most 5 wt.parts of emulsifying agent.
