The component (100) has output driver (120) which emits an external output signal (EO) in reaction to an internal output signal (10). The delay circuit (130) receives internal output signal and generates delay signals (D1,D2,D3). The output driver control circuit (140) receives external output signal and generates control signals (PDR1,PDR2,PDR3,NDR1,NDR2,NDR3). The delay signal is connected to control the driving capability of output driver. An independent claim is also included for a method for control of driver capability of an output driver of semiconductor component.
