A compound represented by general formula (I) or a salt thereof, wherein R?1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6¿ each independently represents hydrogen, halogeno, C¿1-4? alkyl, or C1-6 alkoxyl; R?7 and R8¿ each independently represents C¿1-4? alkyl; and R?9¿ represents hydrogen, C¿1-12? alkanoyl, or acetoxy methyl. They are useful as a reagent for the determination of singlet oxygen.
