METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING CONNECTION BETWEEN PORTIONS OF A DISTRIBUTED APPLICATION IN NODES CONNECTED TO A GMPLS CONTROL PLAN COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method is dedicated to establishing connection between first (N1) and second (N2) external nodes connected to a GMPLS (RG) control plane network and each having a portion (PA1, PA2) of a distributed application. and a signaling module (MS1, MS2) responsible for managing the connection establishment. This method consists in: i) generating in the first external node (N1) a first message requiring the establishment of a connection session and having parameters defining the connection to be established, and then transmitting this first message to the second external node (N2 ) via the network (RG), ii) analyze the first message in the network (RG) to translate the parameters it contains for the GMPLS control plane and verify their compatibility with other applications residing in the network and with the GMPLS control plane, iii) in case of compatibility, to transmit the first message to the second external node (N2), iv) upon receipt of the first message in the second external node (N2), to determine whether the parameters of connection contained therein are supported by its distributed application portion (PA2) and / or its signaling module (MS2), and v) in case of support, to transmit a second session establishment confirmation message to the first external node (N1) so that its signaling module (MS1) initiates the establishment of the connection.
