The method involves sending an identifier of user of a terminal (T1) e.g. mobile telephone, to an application server (SA) storing the identifier. Another identifier is transmitted to the server upon a user detection by a terminal (T2), so that the server finds if a correspondence exists between the identifiers and if an activity is established in the terminal (T1). A message suggesting an activity e.g. session, transfer to the terminal (T2) is sent to one of the terminals, in case of presence of the activity. The terminal (T2) is requested for activity start from an activity advancement stage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for triggering a transfer of activity between communication terminals (2) an application server for a communication network comprising a device for triggering a transfer of activity between communication terminals.
