The method involves sending a message with an identification number to a server (20) by a control system (40), after detecting passage of a personal identification information medium e.g. magnetic badge (42), of a user near a control terminal (B1) of the system, where the user is associated with the number. A terminal (T1) is identified by the server using the number, after receiving the message. A terminal resource activity managing command e.g. resource activation command, is sent to the terminal by the server. The command is executed by the terminal after reception of the command. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for managing activity of a resource of a terminal, comprising a server (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for sending a terminal resource activity managing command (3) a computer readable recording medium comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for sending a terminal resource activity managing command.
