PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output document preparation device capable of outputting text data unfit for format requirements such as the upper limit number of characters decided about a prescribed output area, in regard to a document with a designated form of a report, an application, a business form or the like. PSOLUTION: A font size or the like is adjusted when the text data output to each the output area do not satisfy the format requirements, and it is confirmed whether or not the text data after the adjustment are displayable on the output area from resolution of an output device, or whether or not the text data are displayable as a readable character when outputting them to the output device. When they are unfit for the displayability requirements, the text data are converted into image data, and the image data are made to be output to the output area, so that the text data unfit for the format requirements can be output without changing the output area in a readable state.
