PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform display automatically linked with the connection state of an external apparatus at the display part of the remote controller of electronic equipment such as a television receiver.;SOLUTION: The connection information recognition system comprises: the television receiver 2 provided with a signal detection route selection part 4 for selecting the source of video images and sound from the respective input terminals of an input part 7 and a control part 5 for transmitting an apparatus information transmission request and the output request of connection terminal discrimination signals for discriminating the connected input terminal through a communication part 8 to the external apparatuses 20 and 30; the external apparatuses 20 and 30 for transmitting apparatus information to the television receiver 2 in response to the apparatus information transmission request and transmitting the connection terminal discrimination signals through a video and sound cable to the television receiver 2 in response to the output request of the connection terminal discrimination signals; and the remote controller 10 communicably connected with the television receiver 2 and provided with the display part 12 for displaying the connection information of the external apparatuses 20 and 30 connected to the television receiver 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
