MOUNT FOR GEM AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING GEM ON THIS MOUNT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-workability, practicality and decorativeness mount for a gem to which the gem can be reliably fixed regardless of their size or shape and to provide a method for mounting the gem on the mount.;SOLUTION: The mount 10 for a gem is composed of a round locking frame 11 which wraps the pavilion (lower part) of the gem and has four claws 12a, 12b, 12c and 12d in the same shape. The inside diameter of the locking frame 11 is slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the gem to be fixed so that it may be locked. Each of the four claws 12a, 12b, 12c and 12d is in the shape of a semicylinder with ends rounded. They are composed of upper claw parts 120a, 120b, 120c and 120d for fixing the crown (upper part) of the gem and lower claw parts 122a, 122b, 122c and 122d for fixing the pavilion respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
