PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system which enhances user friendliness about image display.;SOLUTION: A master unit 1 receives and demodulates an FM video signal transmitted from a camera slave unit 3B at an image processor 14, reconstitutes a video image of the monitor region of the camera slave unit 3B, and displays the reconstituted video image on the slave screen W2 at a monitor 13 in place of the video image of a door intercom slave unit 2. While a video image (FM video signal) is transmitted from the door intercom slave unit 2, a control unit 16 does not display a video image transmitted from a camera slave unit 3A, if any. In other words, a person detected at the human body detector 30 of the camera slave unit 3A including the installation place of the door intercom slave unit 2 in the monitor region during session with the door intercom slave unit 2 has very high possibility of being a visitor H1, and user friendliness is enhanced when the video image of other person detected by the other camera slave unit 3B is displayed at the monitor section 13 of the master unit 1 rather than simultaneous display of the video image of the same person at the monitor section 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
