PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the occurrence risk of the side effects of irinotecan, by detecting the genetic polymorphism of UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT). PSOLUTION: This method for determining the occurrence risk of the side effects of irinotecan by detecting the genetic polymorphism of TATA box in the promoter region of UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) comprises a nucleic acid hybridization method which uses at least one nucleic acid probe pair selected from a group comprising nucleic acid probes comprising specific base sequences, and an amplified nucleic acid, obtained by amplification reaction that uses a genome DNA originated from a biological sample of a test subject, as a template.
