PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tangential grinding resistance measuring method for a grinding wheel, a grinding wheel life judging method, a truing completion verification method, a grinding wheel life judging device, and a truing completion verification device, which judge the wheel life accurately.;SOLUTION: The method is the tangential grinding resistance measuring method for a grinding wheel that has a grinding wheel layer with abrasive grains bonded with a bond material formed over an outer peripheral surface of a disk-shaped core. The method comprises: a section area obtaining steps S10 and S11 of obtaining an average abrasive grain section area which is at an infeed depth of abrasive grain cutting edge from the highest top surface of abrasive grains on a grinding wheel; a tangent calculation step S12 of assuming a conical model for cutting edges of the abrasive grains, the conical model taking the abrasive grain section area as its bottom surface and the depth as its height, and calculating the tangent of a half vertex angle which is half of a vertex angle of the conical model; a parameter setting step S13 of setting grinding parameters; and a tangential grinding resistance calculation step S14 of calculating a tangential grinding resistance from the grinding parameters and the tangent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
